Q & A

I usually listen to various types of music during my workouts. Lady Gaga’s music has been one because of her upbeat style. However since her appearance of her wearing the now famous “Meat Dress“, I am finding it hard to listen to her now.

Is it just because I am a vegetarian, or do others have issues as well with her now?

    • Oh my gosh-I just Googled it and now I am sick.  I’ve never cared for her, but this is way too over the top.

One if my favorite songs to workout to (or just to listen to) is Jon Secada’s “I’m Free“.

    • I wouldn’t call myself a fan, but I did enjoy her style during my work outs. But since seeing her in the dress I have not been able to listen to her.

I know she had her reason for the dress, but still. I was beginning to think that I was being overly critical because I am a vegetarian.

But what does that have to do with her singing and music? I guess I just like listening to her cd, some of her songs I like. :)

    • Rikki - I’ve never been a fan of her.  I saw her on the awards show in that meat dress and thought “wow, she’s really scraping the bottom of the barrel here to come up with something out there“.  I personally do not care for her voice or anything about her.  Apparently many do because they said she’s made over 200 million so far.  Guess that’ll buy you plenty of filet mignon dress’s.tongue out

    • I worked out to an old Pat Benatar CD this morning.

I was never a fan of Lady G’s there were just a couple of song that kept me moving. But now after the dress issue every time one of her songs would start I found myself wanting to end my workout. (not good) So now I’m redoing my workout mix. I love lively upbeat dance songs for a good 30-45 minute sweat your pants off session.

I have to be breaking a sweat within 10-15 minutes of starting my workout or I feel that I am slacking.

Lady Gs meat dress was just so dumb, how could anyone of any degree of civility dress like that?  I am an avid meat eater, but that dress is sickening.  Low class media sluts, the both of them.  I almost wish their music was lousy so I could  despise them completely and not hypocritically listen to their music!

    • See that helps, knowing that an avid meat eater found it to be sickening as well. I was thinking maybe I was being a little more critical because of my choice toward vegetarianism. And I like what you said about they should sticking to making music.

(My hubby wanted someone to pass the steak sauce...LOL)

    • i listen to her occasionally, the meat scene has not put me off...its very much like her to be putting it out there and in some peoples faces.  she is not the first nor the last to be seen in public doing something considered highly outragious.  great for her publicity wouldnt u say.  besides there is so much good tunes out there for a good gym workout.
