    • My sister has been in very poor health over the past 6 months. First a heart attack followed by infections, digestive problems, bad reactions to medications and now she has gallstones. They can’t do surgery because she’s on Plavix for her heart attack and she’s miserable. They recommended a change in diet for the time being but didn’t really give her any guidelines. I’m putting something together for her based on the clinical nutrition courses I’ve taken in college. Any suggestions to help her feel better? She says it’s so painful she can hardly stand it.

      Thanks!

    • I had those issues about 24 years ago and it’s no fun at all I had my whole gall baladder removed because the stones I had was diseased and also messed up the gall bladder to the point they had to remove it there isn’t really a whole lot one can do except get a doctor to treat it most times it will have to be removed.

    • What Neicy said, I had mine removed, but if that is not an option for her, wouldn’t they be able to give her options for comfort from pain and dietary advice?

    • One would think so but I don’t know about these doctors in her area. Even when she was having chest pains before her heart attack the docs just passed it off as stress and did nothing until she was in crisis. It took days for anyone to take her seriously.

    • Cynthia, I think a naturopathic doctor could help her with diet guidelines and maybe even something to ease the discomfort. Myself, I’d get off the Plavix to have the surgery.
