    • I usually don’t, I just go shopping with the money that hubby gives me and buy myself something. This year my mom gave me a surprise early birthday party with Mariachis, drinks and good food! and lots of familyheartheart

    • I give myself the gift of no cooking.  I hate to cook, but hubby likes to eat...so I work in my garden all day without interruption and I love every minute of it!

    • I don’t.  I get up and go to work, same as any other day.  If I’m lucky, hubby might take me out to eat.

    • Hubbie gave me a gift and took me along with our son out to dinner on the night of my birthday. When he was away at college I took myself and son out to dinner. For the past 5 years hubbie and I go out of town for the weekend of my birthday.  I loveeeeee my birthday and do enjoy it to the fullest.

    • My birthday is in the middle of August so I’m usually on vacation. Oh, and of course we go out for dinner.  If I’m not on vacation, I treat myself to the spa!

    • Kristi, I’m drooling here!

Recently my birthday has been falling on week days, so I just have a toast on the day alone or with friends. My handsome hunks surprise me with flowers or chocolate covered strawberries at work, and when the weekend comes, I get as blasted as I can! Then I recuperate for a couple of days (stay-cation usually) and it’s back to normal. Some times the celebration lasts for 2 weeks from one old friend’s birthday to another’s, with mine near the end of the second week.

It’s the only day out of the year you can call your own so you should do it up!

    • I have this oddity of celebrating my “new year” for at least a week. I like doing something new and something old, and I think about what I’d like to do or learn or grow into in my new year to grow into a better person. I’ve been joking about wanting to see a cake with all 62 candles to see how much light they give off. LOL
