For those of you who are not currently married or dating...are you content being by yourself or do you feel you need a man to complete your life?
I’d like to have a great boyfriend, but I put so many obstacles in my way eg too fat, too tired, house is a mess, etc.
Having a man in my life to love would certainly add nicely to it. I don’t feel I need a man to complete me or life, but I would like one for the fun of it. ;oD

I love being alone, I go to the movies by myself, I just enjoy it.
THAT BEING SAID, lol, at some point I intend to go onto one of the Internet dating services and try to find a guy.
But having been married twice and my second husband died at a young age, I’m kind of ... fried.
Suzanne, I gave that a shot for awhile and quit because I couldn’t afford to keep it up on my mere $700 a month income. There’s a couple up the hwy with a bed & breakfast that met on Singlesnet a few years ago. That’s encouraging.

Love the feedback ladies! I’m at the point in my life where I want to be by myself. I know I don’t need a man to complete my life. I’ve been in a bad relationship on and off for the past 12 years with the same loser. I’m not sure if I even love him anymore. I just know I want to be alone and focus on me, me, me, me, me. It’s never been about me all these years and I’m ready to change that!
Angell, I wish you unimagined fun and good times, a new social life and peace in living for You! ;oD

Ang......I’m a believer in “when you’ve had enough, you’ve had enough” and it sounds to me as if you have reached that point. 12 years is a long time to not be happy with someone. I say it’s time for YOU to be happy.
Thank you Angel and I have DEFINITELY had enough. I want to be happy...and I’m getting there slowly but surely!
Yes I am content. I love having my independence. I never felt the NEED for a man. I do feel lonely at times and it would be nice to have a partner to enjoy things with, but honestly I do not feel I would die without one. I honestly feel after my last relationship that it is nice to have my own space and time again. I am pretty indpendent anyway however. I am I suppose unusual in that way. I have always been off doing my own thing.
Hi Melanie, and welcome to Fab40 & Over. It is a bit unsual to be female and content alone. Myself... I’ve had enough of being on my own this past year and want a boyfriend.
Not a live-in boyfriend! 17 1/2 yrs with the X really makes me appreciate living alone.
