This evening the local fire department drove through our neighborhood with Santa on top of one of the fire trucks and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. I hadn’t seen one of these in many years! Does your fire department do this in your neighborhood?
Aw that’s so neat.
The kids here got out of school early on Friday for their Christmas break. The school bus drops them all off at the fire hall (school is in another town) and then Santa arrives on a fire truck to distribute bags of candy and do the usual Santa thing.

Now that you mention it, I remember the fire dept doing the Santa tour when I was growing up. I wish that they would do that here!
