Do you use your formal dining room? I have a formal dining room along with an eating area off of my kitchen.
Wish I had a formal dining room. It’s something I’ve never ever had and it would be so nice to be able to sit the whole family down at a table without someone having to get up and move so we can get the refrigerator door open.
If someone’s got a formal dining room they‘re not using, I’d be glad to take it off their hands. LOL! If only it were that simple.

I rarely use our formal dining room. I have a big kitchen and I always entertain there, to much work to carry everything into the dining room.

We use our formal dining room every night for dinner. It’s one of my favorite rooms in the house. It’s very cozy and has big windows.
I have both and tend to use both all the time....

We have both but don’t use any of them unless I have friends over. Hubby and I usually eat on TV trays sence it’s just us.
yes we use both I have a cut out between my formal and kitchen it has shutters I can open so depending on the party but my kitchen table is in the part of the kitchen that opens up into an inclosed garden room with glass to see out over back yard
No, this house is a “great room” type, but there is a dining area I don’t use as intended.
Books, music and plants is what I use it for. There’s a counter between the kitchen and the “dining” area and I do buffet dinners on it, or we can sit at it to eat, play games or talk.

My formal dining room is used only when entertaining large crowds. I have a large kitchen with a window seat, built-in desk/office area, central island and breakfast area for additional seating.
Ok, thank goodness life is going to change. I have a fabulous old oak round dining table from Alice’s Restaurant in Malibu that can seat 6 that got repurposed into a corner table for my violin and table top music stand here. I’ve had the table since 1987. ;oD It was a
bonus from my bosses. LOL, I was married to the wrong man for a dining table.

We use it at holiday/family gatherings. Occasionally when all 4 kids are home at same time. I love to sit in there and do paperwork. Walls are red and I can see if someone comes to front door.
Yes, I have one but rarely use it. We hang out in the kitchen it is a decent size.
