    • It was my friend and I,

We were at Denny’s many years ago and we sat down, well when we sat down there was nothing on the table. I guess they had just cleaned it and the waitress comes over and says “where is the tip that was on this table?” Uh, what tip we told her, I said there was nothing on the table when we sat down. Well she kept insisting that there was a tip and basically blaming us for taking her tip. Then she had the nerve to go get the managerohhhh and he came over and asked us to give her her tip back. WTF? really??

For one, my friend and I are very good tippers and we never stiff anyone in fact we probably tip too much. So for this lady to blame us and the manager to treat us like thieves, well we told them that we are never coming back here again and that what they did was very wrong! we never went back to the Denny’s again.heartbreak

    • My daughter and I were at a Marie Callendar’s and she was doing some of her homework at the table.  We got up to use the restroom and when we came back, all our food was gone (we weren’t done!) and her homework was in the trash.  The manager was very apologetic- we got fresh food for free and he fished her homework out of the trash, then xeroxed it so she had clean copies to work on.

    • I’ve had so many bad eating out experiences lately  I don’t even know where to start.  I’d say the worst in a long time would be eating at Denny’s on Christmas eve.

Hubby and I were travelling and we intended to eat at olive garden but we couldn’t even find a place to park there so we went over to Denny’s.   ICK!  They were busy, and short handed, but that’s no excuse for the general filth.  You could tell they never do a decent job of cleaning the place.  Ugh.  I was really hungry and hubby doesn’t notice the little details, so we ate there, but NEVER again, not any Denny’s anywhere.

    • Many years ago when I worked at a hospital, we gathered at a country club for our annual Christmas party...we sat down to dinner and the rolls were being passed around.  I cut into my roll and there was a dead fly in it, needless to say, we did not have to pay for the meal, but I could not get past that to even eat any food..the liquor tasted good though!tongue out

    • We were at Chili’s for my boy # 3’s bday, boy # 1 took a bite out of his burger and spit it out, there was a loud clanking sound, I thought maybe he lost a tooth, but no it was a nut, and no not an edible nut. It had come off a screw from their onion slicer. So the manager comes over and the first thing she says is that it happens quite often. EWWW. So it has happened before and they don’t resolve the issue, instead they just wait to see who will spit it out next. She did assure me it was sanitized....like that would make us feel any better.

    • any and all that we were forced to be in a public domain w/ the MIL.  she’s so poorly behaved that we’ve had many suggest strongly that “you‘re always welcome back, but for her comfort may we suggest ordering something to go and bringing it to her?”

and all of her grandkids were so mortified by her behavior over a year ago, they told their parents (my dh and sil)that they love them and want to support them, but just can’t face the humiliation any more.

gives you an idea of the behavior, doesn’t it???
