    • I persoanlly like going to T.J Maxx, Homegoods, or even believe it or not the Dollar Tree lol, for those kinds of dishes as a matter of fact I just purchase some beautiful red dinner and dessert plates from T.J Maxx that were on clearance for $2.00 ea. I can’t wait to set my table with them I’m looking for some red stemware to go with them as well.

    • In my house Ikea.  I can get plates for .79 cents.  With kids cheap is always good.

    • I have one pretty set of dishes I use for holidays. They are deep red glass from Crate and Barrel I’d bought about twelve years ago. I have never had a decent set of dishes for every day. I’m ready...nothing too fancy but. I think I’m settling on Target. I get 5.6% cash back from purchasing thru Big Crumbs and another % off from the store.

I’ll add to the set with green, gold and red and possibly even a little turquoise. (I’m an artist- I can do this!)

    • I only checked online for Pier 1...I live far from one ;(

I’m going to check again. I also view a lot of beautiful things at Neiman Marcus. But, I continued to choose patters that were 32.00 a plate! LOL....

    • All of these are good suggestions and are among my favorites too. I have a funny sort of fetish with dinnerware, like ladies have with shoes! It started just a few years ago, in fact at HomeGoods and Pier 1, when I couldn’t make up my mind which set to get at the time so I got one at each store (just placesetting for 4).  Well ever since then, I have acquired this I guess fetish and can’t help myself whenever I see an artsy or unique set, I have to get it!  Well of course I can’t always afford to get even just a set of 4.  So I wait until it goes on clearance, in fact just got 75% off a set I’d been eyeing for awhile at Z-Gallery!  My husband thinks I’m crazy.  But I tell him its probably better or cheaper than having a shoe and handbag fetish!

Oh sorry, back to your question Mindy ...try browsing around at Z-Gallery during their sales and also one of my online faves is www.ballarddesigns.com.  Enjoy!

    • I just bought some from JC Penney that I love. The last time I bought some everyday dishes was about 10 years ago from Neiman Marcus.  They were solid white but boy were they great dishes.  So...I bought these from JP Penney..and I’m quite pleased with them.’

Mindy...I like what you picked out....

    • Okay Ladies! I did it. I sold a bunch of artwork (thank heavens!!) So, I ordered a pile of dishes. No, these won’t last generations...but they should be fine for ten years or so and they will be great-fun. I have have pondered getting new dishes for at least the past four years. So, I did it!

I also picked these glasses, I have red ones. I have some solid white plates and aloe green plates coming with the set.

      Woo hoo~

    • Mindy - love the green!  I needed a few everyday bowl’s and went to Pier 1 about 2 week’s ago.  I just really didn’t feel like spending $14 a bowl so I walked next door to the dollar store and bought 4 really pretty bowl’s for $1/ea!  So....if I break one no biggy!
