    • Doctor Oz did a segment called "Tooth Truths" to teach whats true and false about white teeth.  Do you want to whiten your teeth?  What works for teeth whitening?  And do you want a great Teeth Whitener Home Remedy?  How does Dr Oz know EXACTLY what we are dying to know?
      Teeth Whitening
If used correctly, do teeth whiteners work on everyone?  No, teeth whiteners do not work for everyone.  We have little pores in our teeth, and when these pores are open, then can absorb dyes from foods.  Teeth cleansers and teeth whiteners go in and clean out the pores of your teeth to return your teeth to their original colors.  Carbon amide peroxide and hydrogen peroxide are both used often to whiten your teeth.  There are certain situations in which you should not whiten your teeth.  If any of these conditions apply to you, then you should not whiten your teeth:

        - Do not whiten your teeth if you are under the age of 16

        - Do not whiten your teeth if you have gum disease

        - You should speak to your doctor about previous dental work before whitening your teeth – I wonder what types of previous dental work makes it so that you cannot whiten your teeth.  If you know the answer or have a guess, please leave a comment below!

        - And if you have unrealistic expectations, then teeth whitening may not satisfy you.

      Strawberry Teeth Whitener Home Remedy
Dr Oz said that strawberries are great for whitening teeth because there are chemicals in strawberries that help to polish your teeth and whiten the enamel.  Here is the complete home remedy for the Strawberry Teeth Whitener.

      Teeth Staining Foods
Dr Oz said that in addition to coffee and red wine, white wine can also stain your teeth.  White wine can scrape off the surface of your teeth and open up the pores, so that if you drink something that can stain your teeth after drinking white wine, your teeth are especially vulnerable for absorbing the dyes.  Dr Oz also said that a good general rule is that anything that can stain a white t-shirt can also stain your teeth.

How To Make Dr Oz's Strawberry Teeth Whitener Remedy:

    • I saw the Dr Oz show where he said to make a paste our of Baking soda and lemon juice, rub that on and then brush your teeth.  I tried it, but my caveat is-when the paste is in your kitchen and you wake up in the bedroom-you have to either bring your brush/paste w/ you or hope the salty taste doesn’t get to you before you make it upstairs.

    • Hi!  I have  couple of crowns and they are made out of porcelain.  I don’t think that teeth whiteners would work on them.
