    • After awhile you just have to give up.  There was an old guy that used to call me Michelle every time he saw me instead of Melanie.   I just gave up after awhile.

My daughters have had their names mispronounced and misspelled all their lives.  They’ve gotten to the point they shrug and ignore it.

    • I grew up with my name being misspelled. As long as they‘re in the range of some version of my name, I don’t bother to correct them and I will answer to it. ;oD

    • I have the opposite problem as Annie because I do have an “E” at the end of my name and many people leave it off.  Also my last name ends in “Sole” pronounced like “Soul” and many people say “Soll” (rhymes with ball). tongue out  I only correct them if they‘re going to incorrectly introduce me to many others.

    • Alot of people mispronounce my last name but It doesn’t bother me so much. What bothers me is when they always misspell my first name. It’s spelled with an E not an I. It just bugs the heck out of me when they spell it with an I.
My real name Is Frances but everyone wants to spell Francis. A girl’s name Frances is spelled with an e, a guy who’s name is Francis is spelled with an i. So I go by frannie alot of the times, my best friend’s mom gave me that nickname so I went with it..lolhappy

    • Oh people ALWAYS pronounce my last name wrong.  It’s “Cloyd” and they’ll say “Thank you Mrs. Clodd or Thank you Mrs. Cloud“.  Sheesh......I quit correcting them but when they ask I say “Like Floyd but with a C“.  Seem’s pretty easy to pronounce to me but it’s unbelievable how many people don’t know how to pronounce it.  On the phone with customers sometimes they actually ask me how to spell my first name which is Angela......come on.
