    • I have done research on cat foods and taken classes. Any foods with corn, corn meal and grains are not good for cats. They are cheap fillers to bring the protein level higher to make you think it is good food. Too many vegetables and fruits are not good either at they are high in carbs. Do they eat this stuff in the wild? No! The prescription garbage they sell at the vets is horrible too! We feed our cats Orijen and Acana. High in protein and low in carbs. You can read the ingredients and know what each one is. More expensive but well worth it. It is made by Champion pet foods. [Link Removed] All four of our cats are doing extremely well on this food. I have to order it online as no one around where I live carries it but you can do a search on the website to find it. I highly recommend this food and so does our vet.happy

    • We had a beautiful Siamese cat many years ago and found out too late that he was diabetic...he had gone into shock at the vet’s office and we had to put him to sleep..it was so painful.  The organic pet foods that I see at Whole Foods do have higher protein levels and fewer carbs, so that would be my choice.
