Have you ever broken a mercury thermometer???

    • I did once when I was shaking a thermometer, and it was broke against a sink, just washed it down the sink, nothing happened...

      Don’t worry about it at all!  It would take more than one minuscule exposure to do any damage.  You cleaned it right up. We broke many thermometers at home and in the lab in school, with no harmful effects. You‘re okay! Mercury poisoning occurs these days when there is long term exposure such as you’d get when eating tainted fish on a regular basis.
