    • I find that while I’m more likely to spend money on gifts, clothes, etc.

My husband will spend money on gadgets, and things that he thinks will make us all happy.

In the last few years, I’ve noticed a trend. I spend more money on gadgets than he does.

What’s the pattern in your household?

    • My husband is definitely the gadget buyer.  He will buy me kitchen gadgets if he thinks it’s something I really need (usually don’t).  He’s the buyer of electronics because I would never spend a dime on electronic devices.

I too buy the clothes and gifts.

Hubby will buy one of the kids a microwave if they need one, but I’m the one that will give them cash for rent or go buy them a bag of groceries.

    • I buy just about everything. Big ticket items we buy together. He is more of a gadget buyer than I am.

    • It’s different now that I’m single again, but the X would spend thousands on his toys while I was very conservative with money. I’m still conservative and spend money on items that is going to last for a good many years. Also I’m not electronically inclined, he was.

Another change is that instead of my buying tools, wood and landscaping items, the past year is hitting the sales for clothes, shoes, boots and outer wear. That’s taken care of so I  moved onto what feels like a splurge to me with new dishes and flatware. I’m jazzed! ;oD

    • I buy almost everything in our household.  He buys cigarettes for himself, fish food, and dog food.
