Reading about the question addressing ‘phrases that we can’t stand to hear’ made me think about phrases that we tend to hear more of in certain parts of the country as opposed to others.  Well....THAT then led me to think about how certain things are classified depending what part of the country you live in. Okay....if I haven’t lost anyone yet....I’ll get to the question. Sorry!!  For example:  Do you say ” dinner”  or  “Supper”  when you‘re speaking of your evening meal?  When I lived in Mass.  We said, “supper“.  Here in Fla. however, we say, “Dinner“.
