Q & A

I’ve started planning my renewal wedding. I’m excited. But, I’m very hesitant on buying the wedding dress. I’ve looked forward to wearing a wedding dress for along time. Seeing how I’ve bought two worn none! Why do you think I’m hesitant when it’s been so important to me and still is?

    • Cristen,
I think it’s because you only get to pick one dress out of the hundreds and hundreds possible!  It’s so hard to decide!  And you only get to wear it once, so you want it to be just right. Remember that you’ll look gorgeous no matter which one you pick so try to find the one that speaks to your heart heart

    • Anne, I think your right in part. I’ve picked and paid for two in my life. The first went to Hawaii and I to new jersey for first wedding the second a child bless here heart spilled red fruit punch on me in my dress to my hubby now so I have yet to wear a wedding dress.
So, I’m wedding dress shy! Lol
But I so want to wear one. I’ve also spendt so much on dresses. The total for both is about 6 grand so the thought of putting out alot of money AGAIN is not appealing at all but my tastes go that way and I refuse to pay alot for a third wedding dress. Ugh!!!!
But I can’t seem to get the excitement to go try them on..., probally later it might hit me. I hope.
      Love to u Anne
      Cris

    • Wow! That is by far the stupidest thing I’ve ever read. Most people are worried about lossing jobs or houses and YOUR worried on a dress that will be your third?
Can you say self absorbed much?

    • I don't know for sure, Cris, but maybe it's because it didn't work out the first 2 times and you fear it won't again? Dress #3 could be the lucky one!  Trying dresses on sure sounds fun to me even if you decide not to buy one. How about you take a few of your best friends and make it a happy & fun, private party? Wish I could be there!

    • I’m wondering from they way you worded this question,  is this something you’ve looked forward to for a long time, but it’s just not as important to you anymore as it once was?  If you‘re hesitating, there’s probably a good reason.

    • Cris, I think you should pick a day to go and try on the dresses and enjoy the day! Sometimes I find the things I think will look horrible actually look the best after trying them on and in some cases are the least expensive.

    • I think a renewal wedding is a fabulous idea..and you should have a lovely dress to make it a special day!! So go and try on!! If you are worried about money..go to the best shop and check their sale rack!! I agree that we need to keep the economy going..if we can. My husband and I might have a renewal in 2 years. That will be our 50th!!happy
