Q & A

There are so many bad news in the world - wars or natural disasters.  Is it me getting old so I pay more attention to things around me or is it really our world is getting worse???

    • Hi China, it has nothing to do with you getting old lol. It is written in the bible that these days would come;
      Matthew 24:6)And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

      Mark 13:7-9 ESV And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not be alarmed. This must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines. These are but the beginning of the birth pains. "But be on your guard. For they will deliver you over to councils, and you will be beaten in synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for my sake, to bear witness before them.

    • I’m more of the line of thinking on a scientific explanation and the longer we live, the more we see and notice in climate changes and evolving changes. To me the earth is still going through an evolvation and it has been doing it forever and will continue to do so long after my generation is gone.

      And sadly, wars are a part of history for as long as history has been recorded. So maybe it is now you are noticing all this more?  The good news is civilization has survived this long.
      I want to have empathy for those affected by climate and wars, but want to remain not so personally engulfed by the state of the world that it scares me to be alive.

      Currently it would seem we are going thru a worldwide upheaval in politics, weather, and the earth itself.  These things have been going on since the beginning of time and will continue to go on.

      The verses Neicy quoted have been on my mind a lot lately what with everything going on in the world.

    • To answer the original question, no I don’t think things are getting worse, I just think the media makes us more aware of them than ever before.

    • CD, I think we go through cycles of better and worse times.  Some of the worse times I can think of in modern American history are the great depression, World War II, 1980s recession, and the time we‘re in now.  I think it’ll get better.

    • As I get older paying attention to everything around me feels right, so I go with the flow..it makes me think of the song by The Byrds"Turn, Turn, Turn"..with change comes better and worse, so we as humans need to understand that.
