Q & A

What do you think? I see there is a show called Army WIves..but wouldnt  you say there are more and more women entering the armed services? Wouldnt it be nice if they had a show called Army Husbands..Many times, now, men are staying home and women going to serve.  I don’t know; do you think women who serve get all the thanks they should or are recognized as much as men ?Just curious.

    • Yes there are women in the service but there always have been. As a matter of fact, in Germany, some of their best snipers were women. It hasn’t been all that long since women have been allowed to serve in combat (in the US).  I believe the public recognizes and appreciates women serving just as much as men.  At least I do.  We have many friends/family who have served.  I do have to admit I wouldn’t be interested in a show called “Army Husbands“.  I watch The Military Channel a lot and they have some really fascinating stories on there.

    • It’s a great show...I watch it faithfully! I think they do a good job of showing both sides.

    • IN abcs What would you do... they had an incident that showed military personel who were gay. The men in military were at a restaurant showing affection and patrons accepted this. When women came in, dressed in same military apparel and repeated same scene: showing affection to one another everyone objected. In the men’s scenario, veterans took the part of the young “gay” men but when it was women doing the same people did not take their part; they told them “take it elsewhere“.

Perhaps society allows more from men then they will tolerate from women?

I am not sure: just throwing out questions. Did anyone see ABC’s “What would you do“? that comes on Friday at 9:00 pm Eastern and that had that scenario I mentioned?

    • I don’t care if someone is straight or gay.  I just don’t believe in big public displays of affection from anyone.  There’s a time and place for that and it’s not in a restaraunt if you ask me.

    • Hello Angelcart

Guess everyone thinks different on that. I do think there is a going to far. .But if two buddies are coming back and agree to meet up at a restaurant; and they embrace. well I think that’s good.

I really don’t see wrong in many things like that; I prefer someone give a kiss or hug then shout and sream and bicker in public.

I do see your point, though.

    • I said “big” displays of affection.  Nothing wrong with a hug or quick kiss.

    • I do not care if you are heterosexual or homosexual, I do not want to see ‘big’ pda’s either.

As for people’s reactions, it all depends on where you are geographically. IMO

Now for the question, it’s all in the ratings and a shows title can make or break it. Army Husbands would most likely not be a big hit. Sadly in our World, many still believe the man should be main character in a family.

I don’t watch it as reality TV is anything but real!
