A co-worker passed away last night. Since she didn’t show up for work, office had to call her home and then a family member. She was living alone and had a heart attack. I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but you just don’t know about your life one day you‘re fine and the next day you‘re gone.

I found a pair of brown shoes today in my closet that I had bought for my mom and it brought back a flood of feelings today. First I stood with the shoe in my hand for a minute or two then just felt numb then sad. The emotions are so much.

My cousin lost her mother over the weekend (on cousin’s b-day, no less), and since she has been a full-time caregiver for the last few years, she has no job or income, or any other family to ask for help. My heart is breaking for her (as I lost my own Mother just under a year ago).
I seldom visit my dad’s grave, because I don’t feel he’s there, but everywhere. Should I feel guilty? I constantly think about him and miss him greatly, and feel he’s with me. Am I not a good person for not visiting the cemetery more often? What is your opinion on this?
How do you make up for not attending a friends father’s funeral service?
