Last year, I drove down to the League of Justice, turned in my cape and boots, announced my retirement from playing Superwoman and learned four words that changed my life "Will you help me?”
Tomorrow is International Women's Day. I'm asking the international women of the Fabulously40 community for your help and support, fully expecting that you will rise to the occasion, individually and collectively, and make this an absolutely jaw dropping and humbling experience.
Amongst men we have a reputation of being poor networkers. They say we are catty and backstabbing and we allow our jealous and competitive spirits to discourage us from fully supporting each other. We all see evidence of this behavior played out on Celebrity Apprentice and any of the reality housewife TV shows. But...they are just acting, right?
My book [Link Removed] featuring Fabulously 40 founder Yana Berlin, was written because I have a heart for the wholeness of women. It's a very important book and I want it to get out into the world as our collective voice, to carry the messaage that we will not be made invisible, we will not be overlooked, and we will not allow anyone else to define who we are. I believe if one of us is hurting, we are all hurting and no woman should ever be made to feel less valuable because she is maturing.
Will you help me? Will you tweet about it, blog about it, shout from the roof tops about it? Will you "like" the [Link Removed] a copy for yourself, one to give to a friend and recommend every woman in your life do the same?
Ladies when we unite together we can change the world. I’m ready to make a change. I’m asking, will you help me?
Looking for a really great read that will leave you feeling more confident about midlife? We recommend [Link Removed] collection of mid-life memoirs called, 40+ and Fabulous: Moving Forward Fierce, Focused, and Full of Life! You will really enjoy the positive images of women who have reinvented themselves after forty.
This teaser is from Yana Berlin, founder of Fabulously40.com:
"Women over forty should see themselves as very marketable. Age is just a number, and I can assure you, if I wanted to get a job right now I could walk into a company, if I'm qualified, and get the job"
It's a sassy book that not only pumps you up and makes you proud of being 40+, but the book exposes opportunities and possibilities that are comparable, if not superior to those available in earlier life stages. You'll enjoy learning from the women, including a few celebrities, who shared their candid stories
