My Blog
In about a week, April 5th to be exact, our family will be moving back to the city. We have been living on a mountain since October 2008. I’ve lived in the city and suburbs for most of my life so living in the mountains was quite a lifestyle change for me.
Some things I will miss:
* the peacefulness
* my church family
* my MOMS Club friends
* my MOPS friends
* going to the store and seeing someone I know
* our big new house
* my yoga teacher and my yoga classmates
* Kyle’s karate instructor
Things I won’t miss:
* the 20 minute drive to the grocery store
* being so far away from everything
* my long commute to work
* all the snow that we get because we are at higher elevation
* the endless foggy days and nights
The main reason we are moving is because of my job. Work is about 60 miles from where we live and lately it has been taking me 2 hours to get to work - one way! It’s just ridiculous. Also there aren’t a whole lot of jobs out here so we‘re moving closer into the city where there are more jobs.
Unfortunately moving closer to the city comes with a price. Our bills will most definitely go up but hopefully once both hubby and I are full-time things will be okay. I look forward to saving time and wear and tear not only on my car but also on me. Also with these skyrocketing gas prices, I will be saving some money there too.
