Neicy’s In sight
Well yesterday hubby and I went out shopping and had a ball doing it. And the best part? I didn't have to spend a dime lol. He bought all my stuff for me oh how I love him lol. I got 2 new pair of shoes to work in, 2/ 6pks. of footie socks, some bras, and panties, we stopped in at Bath & Body Works and got some stuff hehehehe, and he got himself some new causal boots to wear with his jeans and khaki's he was looking for a nice hat to wear with his wool coat, but he wasn't successful in finding one. We stopped off in the Disney Store and bought the g-baby a few things she is going to be so surprised and happy. We walked around the whole entire mall and I tell ya, I was os tired lol, I know for a fact I'm out of shapr he even said it took him for a spill lol. We sat down and ate at one of the eateries there and enjoyed one of those wrapped hot dogs from the Pretzel Factory which turned out to be pretty good.
We sat and people watched for a bit and then we continued on our shopping spree. I spotted a bag I want from the Coach Store their new spring line is gorgeous lol. He went into the FYI Store and got himself some movies we even went into Kay Jewelers and looked at me some rings, you know a girl is due a new wedding ring it's been 10 years lol.
we were suppose to leave out in enough time to go look at some futon beds for the second bedroom, but we ended up staying in the mall till closing so maybe thats something I can do myself today. But all in all I enjoyed my shopping trip out with my hubby.
WOW! last night was the night of nights, hubby and I had a ball at the event and it was truly beautiful. I for one really did feel like a super star celebrity, because of all the compliments I got on my look especially the dress even though it wasn’t the one I ordered and wanted to wear, but I guess it worked! The entertainment was awesome as well there was one songstress there by the name of Chelly K, and boy I tell you that sistah was sangin’ ya’ll she was doing different songs from different old school artists like Phyllis Hyman to Nancy Wilson and she rocked the stage even her background singers (her two lovely daughters) we‘re blowing the mics out lol they had some awesome pipes too!
Hubby saw some artwork during the silent auction that he wants to get to go in his office, and I of course you know me was looking at the jewelry they had at one of the opened stores within the museum and hubby got it for me he is such the gentleman. Even though the weather was not the best and snow made it hard for any sistah to walk in heels let alone a strapy heel, but this DIVAS made it through lol, thanks to hubby being the gentleman he is and giving me curbside assistance to the door. They actually had red carpet rolled out it was a great touch. During the night we were giving a bit of a flash of what the play is going to be like so they did a few skits from the play which will be opening up next month.
All the actors are local from Detroit with the exception of one young lady who is from Ohio, she commutes back and forth for all the rehearsals and they did an exceptional job performing for the crowd. It was a very lovely evening. Hubby and I took some photos from his camera so I have to download the software to my computer so I can post them so you’ll have to give me a bit of time to do so, but pics are coming soon. I’m just wondering when will the original dress I order for this night will get here. I do plan on keeping it though for future formal events seeing hubby owns his own tuxedo and a girl has to be ready at all time too lol!
The director and playwright of the play was in rare form looking good and doing the darn thing in the place had the people movin’ and groovin’ it was a really nice time had by all. The champagne and wine was plentiful and the hors d‘oeuvre’s, cheese and fruit were quite tasty but, not filling enough lol so hubby wanted a steak and a lobster tail so we stopped in at a local resturant after just so he could appease his appetite lol. After leaving the restaurant we took the long way home just enjoying each others company in the snow and the CD we purchased from the vocalist Chelly K.
With the New Year, there is going to be a New ME!
I have already begun the process of elimination of people and things that are not worthy of me or my time. I have gotten rid of those things that seemed to be a hinderence in my life. I plan to continue on in the newness of this year and prepare to continue receiving all the blessings that God has for me in it!
My years end began my New year and it went out with a great bang I got a new car, diamonds and lots of other great things and so many positive things happened for me at the end of 2011 so I know that this year is going to be even greater. I have decided to get my body in better shape and get my health in order that is #1 priority for real, I have gained quite a bit in the last year and it is no good for me and I can feel the results of the weight gain and it doesn’t feel good.
I have thrown out old to make room for the new lol, we are also starting our new year in a new apaprtment with more room yaaaaaaaaaaay! and we‘re excited about that! I have a lot to be thankful as well as grateful for, and I know this isn’t even the tip of the iceberg what God has in store for me for us. I’m looking forward to vacationing again this year in the South with my sister and this time my hubby will be accompanying me and possibly my g-baby.
I’m just looking for the bigger and better for my life in this year, thank you Jesus!
Yesterday turned out to be a wonderful day. Hubby and I were both home from work together for a change yaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!! We laid in bed later than normal lol and it felt great not having to jump up at 4am for me anyhow.
Well we got up and out went grocery shopping and was going to go out or breakfast but we opted to buy some food to take to his sister’s house seeing she had been sick and just got home from the hospital, so we bought food to carry with us for our visit with her and the rest of the family. My hubby also bought all of us our own bouquet of flowers he is so thoughtful that way, lucky me uh? LOL.
So we arrive and everyone is there, his mom who lives behind her came in a few minutes later after hubby walked over to see her she wasn’t feeling her best either, but she came out and enjoyed the food and fun with us.
We were going to watch a movie, but the guys mustard their way into keeping the TV tuned into the football game, while we girls chatted away at the table lol. I was online shopping in between times lol, and my sister inlaw Shawn set up the food and snacks. We stayed a little after midnight and then we prepared ourselves to leave for home.
It was a great time had by all.
Hi My Fab40 Divas lol, I need your assistance in helping me pick the right dress for this Black-Tie affair coming up soon, (Jan.20th) here are the dresses I found which one do you think would best fit me and my full-figured size? The majority may rule depending on what my daughter says and picks!
THE WINNER!!!!
"Set me as a seal upon your heart, as a seal upon your arm: for love is as strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: its flames are flames of fire, a most vehement flame." (Song of Solomon 8:6 KJV)
It is so sad and so unfortunate that some people will allow the spirit of Jealousy to set in and cause them to miss their own blessings. Let me explain.
During the days leading up the holidays (Thanksgiving & Christmas) my baby sister and I were chatting up a storm leading up to the special days events of the holidays sharing with each other our daily routines of preparing for the big dates. We talked about everything from what we were going to have on our dinner menus to what we were going to get our immediate family members for Christmas having great phone chats almost daily. Then there were times we'd text each other to see where we were in our progress in our preparations. Ok so speeding ahead Thanksgiving came and went we chatted on the moring of and she was teasing me about her beating me in finishing first with her cooking usually its me getting done before anyone, but I had to work on Thanksgiving so I still had a couple of dishes to prepare after getting home from work. So we laughed about that!
Ok so here comes Christmas Eve we're both on the phone in the kitchen I had Christmas Eve off but had to work Christmas Day so I got all my dinner done on the Eve. We stayed on the phone back and forth the entire day of C-eve, ok so moving forward, Christmas Day we all get what we get, and the phone is ringing off the hook from various people with Christmas greeting and the likes. Ok so she calls me and ask, so what did you get for Christmas and when I told her it was like a knife to her heart, WTH???
She instantly got an attitude and her whole mood changed, she made up some excuse to get off the phone and said she’d call me back, this was Christmas Day! Ok so we hang up and hours went by no return call, so I tried calling her back later that evening because I had bought gifts for all my sister, and I wanted her to know I had something for her it was actually a birthday gift because her birthday was the 26th, ok so no answer or return call, I even sent her a text message and left her a voice mail about me wanting to bring her, her gift she never responded.
Ok so here comes Monday, Jan.2nd I was off tried calling her again because I was going to deliver the gifts to her and my other sister, I call her again, no answer or response to my call, I text her no response to the text, ok so I text her one last time letting her know I was going to leave her gift with our other sister. I get to my sister's house she and I had a wonderful chat she enjoyed her gift and had something for me which I wasn't expecting, she asked me if I had spoken to the other sister and I told her I had been trying to reach her but was unsuccessful and I left it at that, so she said, she'd giver her a call to let her know the gift was there and after my 2-1/2 hour visit with her I left, and up to this very moment as I type this I still have not heard from my sister.
"But if you have bitter jealousy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast and be false to the truth. This is not the wisdom that comes down from above, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice. " (James 3:14-16/EVS)
