  • Off Broadway Boutique’s Nita Angeletti Takes Center Stage

Posted on Sunday, June 16, 2013

Hello, everyone! It isn't very often that we come across someone who has the fantastic talent to create such incredible work, yet we definitely take the time to spotlight them when they do.  This was the case with our very own Nita Angeletti, who works as a fashion consultant at Off Broadway Boutique and has featured her fabulous collection of dolls in our store window. We were so excited to hear that she'd be showing her exquisite exhibit at the 37th annual American Crafts festival that we made it our business to see her in action yesterday.

Doubly pleasing was the arrival of Lynn Dell's good friend, Joyce, who decided to join her in supporting Nita in her first showing.  In town from Dallas, she had wanted to catch up with the Countess of Glamour, who she hadn't seen in years.  The result was pure happiness as both of these incredible women marveled at Nita's ability to create the most exciting and unique exhibit in Lincoln Center.

What's more, both Lynn and Joyce were thrilled to see Dawn Wain, a beloved jewelry designer whose work we've shown in our store. Although she had displayed very few pieces at the festival, it was such a joy to see that Dawn was doing better – as she had been very ill.  A friend of Off Broadway Boutique's for years, we wish her health and happiness as she emerges as a stronger and more resilient woman.

After congratulating Nita on such a smashing debut, Joyce and Lynn decided to eat at the magnificent PJ Clarke's.  Dining on the biggest and fattest oysters that they'd ever tasted while catching up on old times, it was as if they'd never been apart.  All those wonderful memories of jet setting around the world came back to Lynn as she thoroughly enjoyed her friend's company.  We'd say that this nicely capped off a sensational sunny Saturday – Off Broadway Boutique style!

Fellow fashionistas, have we got a riddle for you!  We at Off Broadway Boutique had the pleasure of dressing the daughter of one of the nominees for tomorrow's Tony Awards and to say that she will look divine is an understatement!  And since we know that you share a passion for fashion, we'd like to challenge you to find the secret stylista at the ceremony tomorrow night!

You'll be able to spot her in our fabulously flowing Moroccan dress that will match the radiant smile on her face as she cheers her mother on. We had it dyed in a magnificent magenta color that complements the stunning  gunmetal Venetian tassel necklace that she also bought from us.  Once you spot her, you'll never be able to forget the splendid way that she looks amongst the cavalcade of Broadway stars.

  • The Countess of Glamour in Look Magazine

Posted on Saturday, May 18, 2013

Hi, everyone!  On the heels of the New York Times profile on Off Broadway Boutique, our beloved Lynn Dell has been causing a chic commotion across the pond. The result is a fantastic article in London weekly, Look Magazine, which introduces the Countess of Glamour as "a fabulous Manhattanite" who always lives by the motto - "Dress for yourself. If you are happy, you will make the world happy." It is so thrilling that she is celebrated in the way that our good friend, Ari Seth Cohen, has been doing for years.

This is the very maxim that we always instill in every single customer that walks through our door, which is why it is no surprise when they leave our shop with a strong sense of self that embraces creativity and style.  We invite you to Off Broadway Boutique to indulge in the very essence that has made Lynn a fashion icon in the eyes of the shrewdly stylish Brits.  After all, you deserve to look and feel as fabulous as our Countess of Glamour does every single day!

  • Invited Guest: Mitsuko Shimomura

Posted on Thursday, May 16, 2013

Hello, everyone! Throughout our decades on the Upper West Side, we have helped many a fashionable femme follow their style destiny.  It's all the more pleasing when we are graced with the presence of an accomplished woman such as Mitsuko Shimomura, who stopped by Off Broadway Boutique last Saturday.

One of the most prolific journalists and authors in the world, she was in town for some R&R and instantly fell in love with our world of glamour and glitz.  To say that our Countess of Glamour was charmed by her visit is an understatement, as she was enthralled to see her time-honored motto of dressing for the theatre of one's life come to fruition through Ms. Shimomura.

We at Off Broadway Boutique were honored to host her and look forward to her next visit.
