I pay top dollar to have my hair look fresh and sharp at all times. But when i see that the color fades within three weeks after my appointment,
I go crazy!
I spoke with several hair specialists who assured me of what I was doing wrong. The each told me to avoid hair products with sodium lauryl sulfate in them, as this ingredient is bad for your color.
Although sodium lauryl sulfate derives from a coconut, it irritates the skin and removes color when it is mixed with other ingredients.
Many manufacturers use this in hair products, toothpastes, and soap, because it is a cheap means of cleaning the skin.
Most generic shampoos use sodium lauryl sulfate, and those that do not, typically clearly state no sulfates. While these are more expensive, it is a small price to pay to avoid skin rashes, dry skin, and quick color fading.
So, look out for NO SULFATES! This may be the answer to your problems!
I love the new Russian Collection from OPI!
What a great idea... with names such as Boris & Natasha , an Affair in Red Square, Russian Navy, Midnight in Moscow..... how fun!
The colors look so beautiful on. They are classy and clean, and perfect for the winter season as we are bundled up in coats, scarves and hats!
You never think it will happen to you.
The natural disaster has taken over the county of San Diego, and has widespread to Orange County and Los Angeles. The community has come together in a way no one has every seen before. It is amazing to see how supportful the people have been to provide for those who have been evacuated and lost their homes.
Although we were evacuated, and our house threatened by the fires, the firefighters were able to push the fire away from our family rich neighborhood. Eight people, one household, 4 cars, packed with photos, water, food, clothing, insurance papers, and all of our essential belongings, waiting just in case we had to flee.
Our neighborhood has been a ghost town. Not a car or person in sight. Everyone was frightened out of their mind and left to Qualcomm stadium seeking protection and help. My girlfriend called to inform me that she went to irvine (orange county) to her family friends, away from the fires. Yet she did not know that area was already evcacuated and in danger itself.... where can we run when there is no where to go?
I gathered my belongings and left San Diego the following day, to run away from the smoke, the polluted air, and the tragedy occuring. Today I found out that people i personally know had their homes taken away from them. Beautiful, lavish palaces, located in a desert like plane, surrounded with gardens and horses.
All of my prayers go out to those who are going through this time of tragedy. While a home is a horrible thing to lose, what is most important is that your family is safe. Put aside materialistic goods- clothing, cars, and even photos. Whats important is that your family make it out alive and together.
