We asked her a few personal questions to learn more about this powerful Fabulously40 woman!

Lets learn a little more about Kathryn Brown and her career!

1. Describe how you started out in your career field. Did you attend college immediately following high school?

No, I did not go to college. I started my family right after high school. I then went into the Financial world to work.  I have been in the mortgage business for well over 25 years. I have worked in every area of it. From phones to front desk to loan officer.

2. What keeps you from giving up along the way when faced with tough challenges or let downs?

I love helping others to achieve their financial goals.

3. Do you have a support system surrounding you throughout your career climbing?

My children have always supported me in my choices. My parents are also always there for me.

4. In helping yourself achieve career goals, do you perform any type of mediation, relaxation or affirmations?

I give myself lot’s of space for quiet time where I can be alone and think. I can let my mind relax and grow my knowledge.

5. What is your experience with networking and do you feel it is important?

I love networking. It is one of my biggest champions. Without networking, I would not have met some of the greatest ladies I have ever known.

6. What do you feel are the essentials to career climbing and why?  

I guess  that the biggest essential for career climbing  for me is simply never letting anyone or anything get in my way.

7. Where do you see yourself in your career in 5 or 10 years and how do you plan on getting there?  

I see myself doing what I am doing now. I will stay steady and keep going forward.
