Tomorrow my daughter, her husband and their twins  (my grandbabies) will be flying nearly around the world. They‘re moving from South Korea to Germany (my son-in-law’s new duty station with the Army). Unfortunately, the Army had to route their flights a much longer way to Germany because they must touch American soil before reaching their final destination. In other words, instead of a 14-hour flight from Seoul direct to Frankfurt, they are flying 29-hours from Seoul to Tokyo to Newark, New Jersey to Frankfurt! It’s absurd, I know, absolutely ridiculous. Can you imagine those two little lovebugs couped up in airplanes for 29 hours?!  Ugh! my heart goes out to them, and my daughter and son-in-law. That is not going to be easy!  But I guess the military has their policies and nothing can be done about it.

All I can do is pray that people on those flights will be nice and even helpful, but at the very least understanding that yes, even little 15-month old toddlers must fly, whether they like it or not.  And I pray for my daughter to survive the trip without totally losing her sanity.

heartLadies/fabber-friends, I would be forever grateful if you would please say an extra prayer for them that all goes as smoothly as possible (thank you).

“And Lord, please clear the volcanic-ashed-skies in Europe so they can pass through without delay. They certainly don’t need to be stuck in an airport for hours on end on top of everything else they‘re going to have to endure! Thank you, Lord. Amen.”
