Some days just stand out.  On Saturday, Greg and I drove through the rain to share the afternoon  with Abbie, Dave and Jack.  Greg and I spent over three hours just watching Jack, and laughing; so much that my side hurt!    A month ago, he was walking; now he is running.

His smile is fetching and he seems to revel in his power over the two of us...

Dave had a basketball game going and that little boy was intensely watching that game, just like his Daddy.  After awhile, Jack picked up a small, red plastic bat.

He would take bat and point it at the TV and jabber at the players, then he would look over his shoulder and jabber a bit.  Quickly, he would turn back to the players and point that bat and just jabber away, as if were coaching them.  He would do this over and over.  Once in while, he would the bat down, walk over to the front of the TV and stand there with his hands on his hips watching the players.  He repeated the process until the game was over.

We ended the day by taking them for Mexican food.  It’s hard for a Gram to watch her one year old Grandson smile as he ate hot sauce and chips until tears ran down his cheeks...

I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry!

These moments are treasures; gifts from the Lord.  I must capture each one of them so that when I’m very old, I can read my words and laugh once more.  And maybe, just maybe... Jack will laugh with me.
