This afternoon was one of the most special days!estatic I spent alot of today with my Grandmother. My Grandma was 100 this last April. She still lives on her own and is so active she can exhaust a person.

She called late this morning and asked me to bring her shopping. She wanted to get presents for her 9 living children and her 43 grandchildren. Off we went!

First I have to say this so I don’t forget. People were awesome. When we went to any register to check out EVERYONE allowed my Grandma to go to the front of the line. I so appreciated everyone’s generosity, I know how precious time can be.

My Aunts and Uncles are between the ages of 78 and 52. Granma decided that they should all have new bathrobes and slippers. Off to Macy’s at Mall of America we went. She did quite well. Though I acctually had to cheat and call for shoe sizes. She doesn’t know this though. She just thought I was so smart in my guessing.

Next we went to build a bear. She had 4 bears built for her church’s Christmas give away.

Then we went off to sears. I know she bought all the male cousins Pajamas and underwear. She bought all the females pj’s and gift cards(for underwear). She was suprised at how many styles of panties were out there.estatic She was then ready to go to walmart. She needed tape, wrapping paper, bows and gift cards. I forgot to mention at all the other stores she made sure she got her free boxes. She said it is a waste of money to buy a box.

Once I brought her back to her apartment we had a quick lunch and then wrapped EVERY purchase she bought. All but 1 package recieved a gift tag. She stated she didn’t know who she would give it to. Just happened to be pj in my size.(hum)

I then helped her decorate her little 2.5 ft tree. Once all her packages were under her little tree you couldn’t see the tree anymore.

I am so thankful to have spent the day with her. I am truly blessed.

My hope for all of my new friends this Holiday season is that in this busy stressful time, you will have a day that is a totally  wonderful time. May the memory of that day bring a smile to your face forever.
