So many changes around here.  Hard to keep up with everyone and everything.

In a bit my wonderful younger daughter and grandson will arrive with grandpets in tow (1 dog, 2 cats).  The family of 3-1/2 is selling their home and there’s going to be an open house.

The cats will probably hang out under our bed with our old guy.  Lucky and Lily will do what they usually do-pace, bark occasionally and sleep.  Jackson will do whatever he wishes: play, eat and hopefully nap.  Last week, the nap part was NOT very successful.

Later, DH and DS will join us and we’ll have them fire up the grill.

Right now I have baby back ribs with Montreal seasoning in the fridge.  I’ll serve with a spinach, mushroom and tomato salad and hoping from grilled corn.  Adam is not a fan of the corn-so if he would rather have a baked spud, that’s fine with me.  As long as I have that hour’s notice!

Dessert?  You know, I’m just not feeling it much lately.  It’s hot, humid (forget dry heat when monsoon season arrives) and sticky.

Took me almost 5 minutes to get my stupid workout shirt on because the material was making it near impossible to move on my skin.  I’m already dreading taking this thing off at bedtime later tonight.

So, no ideas for anything food-wise this week.

I did hear a great tip on The Chew from Daphne Oz on how to make sure your fresh pineapple was juicy from top to bottom!

Twist off the top and turn it upside down for about 15 minutes!  Like a jar of all natural nut butter-the juices will re-distribute throughout the fruit!

Then you can cut and enjoy the entire pineapple!

Love it
