What if I say that total despair, frustration and hopelessness is the
beginning ground for yoga. To some of us this would be a oxymoron
statement. But, not for people like OSHO, Patanjali, Buddha, and many
other other enlightened souls that have walked this earth.

One may ponder how does this important info of total hopelessness
applies to yoga? Because, in our mind yoga is associated with
expectations, the expectation of a better future and avoidance from the
past miseries.

But to OSHO, this is the most important info which is preventing us from entering into yoga. Our
desire and hope make us want to be in the future, but we have to be in the
present. Forget the past and the future and live in the present. Many of
us have heard this phrase because, being humans we may over think it.
It is actually very simple. The most simple and critical step
associated with yoga. Total hopefulness is nothing but to stop
thinking about the past and the future, because both lead to misery not
yoga. So never hope just experience!

Next post will be about connection between yoga, god and religion.

Best of luck!
