I just compelled again to share how I protect my privacy on the Internet, especially pertaining to this:

First - Screen Name  

If you don’t want other to know who you are, pick a screen name vs. uses your first or last name.

Second - Profile  

On Edit Profile, first tab, you will see spaces to fill in your first and last name.  If you put it there, even if you have a screen name, your status bar and elsewhere on this site will use that name rather.  Again, if you have privacy issue, please do not fill that in.  That applies to other areas, like home #, cell #, email info, city and state, etc.

You can also edit your profile that only friends can see that information.

In general, everyone, I mean everyone, the whole wide world can view this site without being a member.  They can view mostly everything.  Give it a try yourself, without signing in and see what you get.

Third - Pictures

Again, if you do not want to release that, do not post your face.  Or, you can set it up to only friends can view.  In this case, at least one picture will show on your profile.  When other clicks on it, it will kick them out.  They just have no further access to other pictures.  They can see one tiny one though.

Four - Advise others to use your screen name even they know your real time.

Five - screen picture

Again, use graphics, scenery etc vs your face.

I think you have gotten the picture.  Almost everything here in open to the public except private group or password protected blog.  The rest is opened.

Please use proper security measure that fit your individual needs and circumstance.
