Some of us 40 & Beyonders have the joy of knowing the feeling of being a grandparent.   As I much as I looked forward to the day, I also had to admit I was a little ill at ease.   Ill at ease just to admit (to myself) that I was old enough now to reach this milestone.  Now I am the grandparent...wasn’t that someone I turned to all my life for advice, hugs or just hanging out feeling special.  Now it was my turn, my turn to create the memories that I have of my grandparents...pretty big stuff...I’ve adjusted and I’m loving it.  One of the best parts is hearing what the little ones say...they are precious!  Hope I can amuse you from time to time with a few of my favorites!

I’ll start with this one... My grandson had been jumping on the couch after being told not to several times, so I begin to talk to him about how he could be hurt, why he should listen to rules, etc. etc.  In the middle of the conversion he looks at me very seriously and says “Na, you look beautiful today”   What a game changer!

Love it
