Last night, early this morning a little person from up stairs put her face in mine, and whispered, “Can I sleep with you? I had a bad dream.”

Without saying a word, I moved over closer to Mr. Husband to let Baby-girl in.  

Mom’s beds every where, or side of the bed seems to have magical powers to heal, and chase to bad dreams away.  

I laid there, for a while thinking about all the times I went to my parents bed, crawling next to my mother. Most of the time, my dad wasn’t there, because he was at work.  

No matter how I felt, I just knew, if I could get to Mama’s bed, it would all be better. Even if she wasn’t in it.  

Once, when I was pregnant with our middle daughter. I ate something that made me so ill. I was at my parents for the weekend, and slept in their bed from Friday, to Sunday when we left. Although I thought I would puke my guts, and baby up, I felt better being in that bed.

As soon as Baby-girl’s head hit my pillow, she was fast asleep. Magic I tell you. Pure magic.
