Well friends, I think I posted somewhere here that I hoped 2015 would be a little less of a roller coaster ride than 2014, but that is not to be. So ok, I’ll roll with it.
At 2:00 Friday I was fired from my job without warning. Most of you here know I’m a pretty blunt, tell-it-like-I-see-it sort of person. That’s who I am. Apparently in the workplace that is considered “harassment” and creates “a hostile work environment“. That is according to human resources. Apparently calling a fat lazy cow a fat lazy cow is a no-no.
The long and short of it, I’ve been the queen bee at my job for 2 1/2 years. And two young gals want to be me. And they did the mean, sneaky things necessary to make sure they get my job. I don’t know how to deal with working with that type of women. Sadly they went over the bosses head
So, I’m back where I was exactly three years ago. Desperately needing a job to pay the bills.
But I have been absolutely overwhelmed by the love and support of family and friends and co-workers. The guy everyone refers to as my boyfriend (including hubby) has been by the house twice, and drunk texted me all Friday night making sure I’m ok. My “work son” has been here with his girlfriend twice. My helper at work came by with her husband last night. My kids have been so supportive. I’m a very blessed woman.
So, I’m moving on down the career path. Really leaning toward going back to the restaurant scene. But then there’s a warehouse just down the road from hubby’s work that’s looking for a forklift operator. We will see what the job hunt turns up on Monday.
I’ll keep you all posted. This is gonna be fun! :)
It sounds like you are getting a lot of support from everyone. That’s great! Good luck with the job search.
I’m looking at all this as a new adventure.
I was getting pretty burned out and tired of my dead-end job even though I really enjoy the biggest share of my coworkers.
But as my “boyfriend” said, “how long would you have toughed it out and been purely miserable if you hadn’t been fired”
It was the push I needed.
So sorry to know about your situation. That’s great that you‘re getting support from family and friends. I’m sure you will be employed in no time. Take care. 
Thanks Linda. I’ve got two applications in already and will be filling out a few online ones tomorrow. Today I’m taking a day to just do nothing.
Well TL I’m sure after firing you for stating a truth they will realize the cow was fat and lazy!!!
