I started blogging my daily to do list a few days ago. My reason for this was to hold myself accountable. I appreciate any and all feed back but don’t really expect it. But in the process of trying to do what’s reccommended by all time management experts and writing it down I realized something.
There is no planner big enough to write down all the things I need to do. The things I want to do. The things I should do.
Then I started thinking about all the things women do to make themselves look good or feel good. I’m thinking about this as I’m walking in place in my garage because the rain is so bad I can’t go out.
First there are the needs and shoulds:
Eat 3 times daily along with 2 snacks. Well those things don’t just appear. You have to shop and prepare. And eating healthy is a little more time consuming than being a junk food junkie.
Exercising 10- 60 min daily whichever your poison is. Then figuring out which exercise to do on which day. Did I do this one recently? Am I in correct form? I personnally can’t afford a personal trainer so it’s up to me to figure it out.
Spending time reflecting/spiritual/ religion could take up time daily or weekly depending on your preference.
Doctors appointments- The time you spend on the phone on hold, then to make the appt, sitting in the office for the actual appt.
I haven’t even begun to include all the things we do for our families and friends.
Now for the things we want to do:
Pedicures, manicures, facials, and massage weekly or monthly. Then of course the hair. What about the waxing and bleaching ( don’t forget the anal bleaching or coloring your betty).
Lunch and shopping with friends
Emailing and blogging.
Doing charity work.
My goodness the list could go on.....

So after all this reflecting while whittling my ah ha moment was this....

Who has time to actually work?

    • My days are always packed with things to do. So to ease my self stress I have begun saying out loud today is Thursday, I have to go to work, then school, then tudoring in order of importance and of course each day has it’s own schedule that’s all I can do. And like Teeky said I make sure the utilities are good for another day, then I go to sleep.

      much love

    • My problem is working around doctors appts with my kids school hours. getting it all done before they get home. And the not being able to do the shopping etc on my own and trying to compensate around my house for it.

Making things easier here for hubby since he has to do all the shopping things etc. It takes me 2 days to just clean one room. And then my mind wanders to all the other things i should be doing as a wife and mom that i cannot do anymore. But, i always try anyways. lol

Making jewelry, cleaning as much as i can. Showering and dressing takes me around 2 hours. Simple things like that kick my arse. ohhhh

I always feel i am forgetting to do something too. lol

We need more hours in the day, but we would probably need more still. tongue out
