With a resounding YES I must admit. I was blessed with my soulmate at a young age. God brought us together 24 years ago. We just celebrated our 23 anniversary on January 20th.
We have two wonderful young men Dustin age 20 and Christopher age 19. Douglas Grandon my best friend,my comedian,my fantastic lover,my protector, provider, and on occasion my sparing partner. You know I heared once if there is never any loud fellowship in the relationship then they are really not in the relationship. God brought us together when we both needed to heal our hearts. Doug’s soon to be fiance was killed in car wreck before he moved to Texas, where I was. I had lost my Dad that summer before school started we met in January at Canton High School where we both tried out for the One Act Play. He was Lane the butler and I was Ann the maid in “The Importance Of Being Ernest” We both wanted to mend our broken hearts.
We saw each other everyday at practice. We really connected and that connection is something we have always worked at in our marriage. We laugh,we cry,we tell each other everyday I Love You Babe. I tell him he is my favorite person in the world. In the last couple of years my husband said we have to stay connected before the boys leave the house. So we spent time alone away from the boys and even started dating again. We tell each other we couldn’t make it without each other. He is “My Only Love” my hearts desire, his smile brightens my day,my heart breaks with the thought of ever living without him. He says if I go before him they better dig his grave too because he is following behind. We have had rough spots in our relationship, but we chose to fight the good fight! Let love conquer all. The Eagles song “Love will keep us alive” on my profile,is a song they says it all for us.
Though laughter, tears, fears, childern, dealing with our future and our past. We still love each other with all our hearts. Doug is my soulmate and my true heart’s connection. He will always be my Pooh Bear!
A favorite movieline comes to mind: I would rather fight with you, than make love to anyone else. In our hearts that is so true. I believe in soulmates and I am very blessed to have mine Douglas Grandon.
Don’t get me wrong I don’t say this to brag, and am very blessed and I wanted to share. If your heart skips a beat every time you see them, you are in the presents of your Soulmate.
