Have you all been thinking about what you like to serve for your family dinners?  I have to say, my family loves chicken-on the BBQ.  I use various marinades or rubs.  Our favorites?

1-evoo, fresh rosemary, minced garlic, fresh mint, fresh lemon juice, kosher salt and freshly ground pepper.Combine into a paste and rub on.  Let marinate for at least 2 hours-no more than 8.

2-evoo, Montreal steak seasoning and soy sauce.  This is a marinade so put chicken into a Ziploc and cover.  Make sure to turn every hour or so.

3-non-fat Italian dressing.  You know the drill.

Side dishes?  I keep my "Sarah's Mashed Potatoes" for birthdays and holidays, but baked potatoes served with a toppings bar is always a favorite.  Even with the little ones.

My spinach salad (the one that's been in Taste of Home) or our favorite spinach, cauliflower, white bean and feta salad are always favorites.

Another favorite is any veggie roasted or grilled with evoo and garlic.

Some other favorite starches in our home are anything pasta-especially noodle kugel or BBQ corn on the cob.

And as usual-I'm going to ask:  what are your favorite family dishes and why?
