Update on our Fab Friend Maria

Hi Adam,

I am one of your mom’s friends from Fabulously 40 and I am wondering Along with others how is she doing? We would love an update. And hopefully you will pass onto her that we all are keeping her in out thoughts and prayers.

hey vikki, sorry it took so long. i’m bad about reading and forgettting messages. mom is... really depends on what day you ask. she still has no memory of before the surgery. i say that, and at the same time she is getting some memories back. just happens to be all the worse one possible. she is in constant pain (from the surgery and from migraines). but, she does have good days where things aren’t “so” bad. we’ve found her a support group for brain injuries and we’ve been to one meeting (montly) and a walk for awareness. hopefully we will be able to go to this thursdays meeting. we are in the process of finding her a doctor/therapist/psychiatrist to talk to to help her through the process of getting her memories back and how to deal with them. she wanted me to get on her fab40 account and post that she appreciates all the support you guys (gals) give her, and that while she doesn’t remember you (all of you), she still counts you as friends. cards are more than welcome. she feels a lot of days that she has no friends. we are doing the best we can, and i really appreciate your checking in on her. please pass on the update to the fab40 girls. you girls rock!
