This is my office.
It’s the place where I come when I’m feeling strong and powerful.

Anyone inclined to blackmail me need only make one trip to my house in a compact automobile or even a moped scooter. And pick up these pink notebooks.
It’s all inside.
As an added bonus the notebooks are organized by topic for the blackmailer’s convenience.
I wrestle through the issues of my life here in this room.
And, yes. I am aware that I may have a peculiar way of sorting things out.
Many years ago, I learned that the inside of my brain appears much like this bulletin board.
And when my bulletin board brain has had random thought after random thought tacked on it and I cannot see what is on the layer closest to the cork...
I become confused. And that ain’t good. Believe me.
People suffer in this house when I am wandering aimlessly through the fun house passage ways of my brain.
I pray and I study here and make decisions about what I believe.
I write here a lot. Recently I've been writing to you a lot.

I’ve made a lot of big, big decisions in this room!
I work through them logically and prayerfully.
Some of them, take a longer time than others.

And I’m struggling through it. Logically applying sound principals and facts to the question of “But, why is 46 too old to wear these boots?”

LOVE THIS!! you are so witty and clever girl, thanks for the peek inside your brain. I see no reason you can’t wear those boots, in fact I think I recently seen you pick your scrawny butt up and pull them on!
My space is currently the kitchen table. It doesn’t have the flair and organization that your office has. It is a mess with piles and notes and ideas scratched out and piled up on many subjects. At times, I am like some sort of mad scientist or crazy homeless person that wildly searches for that perfect idea amongst the piles. I actually have a real desk with things well organized but as I talk with you ladies I gravitate to the kitchen, I guess where all the women folk drink coffee and talk. I am planning my new spaces and find much inspiration here in yours.

I will check with daughter today to see if camera has been located yet. If not, I will need to learn to use my phone to take pictures and send to myspace as my daughter did for me.

You got me thinking, though. Since I work full-time AND I require at least 8 hours of sleep, I don’t have much time left to be so creative. That’s OK...He made us all different for His reasons, right? Anyway, I do tend to collect recipes and ideas for crafts, decorating and gardening. I have a drawer in my kitchen with a file folder full and several loose recipes on top.
Theres a folder in my computer desk with decorating ideas and yard and gardening project ideas.
I have my extra room with my ironing board always set up and a card table piled with stuff. Lately, it’s been some wrapping paper, ribbons, etc. still left from Easter along with card stock, glue and scissors for making greeting cards.
Then I have my Moms In Touch International prayer notebook I always keep with me. I’ve added blank paper in back for “brainstorms” or ideas I see when I’m out and about.
I guess I think of myself as a trail blazer when I get ready to tackle something...cut through the jungle to clear a path for my project ;0).

The most wonderfully creative spaces are the ones that required you to be wonderfully creative to find and carve out!
When the boys were young and they took up all the space in our home- I claimed the storage under the stairs!
It was a wonderful cubby. It helped also that I’m not too tall.

I hesitate to share this- sometimes it gives the wrong impression of me.
But b/c its ya’ll: re: the decor in my office...
The zebra print and spring flowers and all that-
I made and attached it all with velcro so that I can change it with the changing of the seasons.
or the changing of my mood
which happens more often than the seasonal changes
but much like the weather in Texas.
