Having a husband, for starters. BA HA HA
Sorry. Had to say it. [Im single.}
I didnt read the link yet...but if I may I would like to answer the question posted.
I think as 2 marriages are not alike so what makes each couple happy in the marriage deeming the marriage a sucess. But the fundimental basics of a marriage are the same across the bourd.....they are: love,kindness,respect,openness,honesty,passion,forgiveness,and compassion. Now, these words are for each to decide the meaning they hold to one another but I do know that uncommunication, belittleing,lieing,and the need to hurt NEVER work in any relationship let alone a marriage.
Thats my view or at least the cliff notes
Thank you
Hey Cheeky,
You are absolutely right. The article came from an L.A. Times obituary and since my blog covers relationships, I thought 73 yrs. together was unheard of.
Even more so, this couple was affectionate until the end. My grandparents are still together after 50+ years of marriage but they’ve slept in separate rooms since I can remember and maybe someone gets a peck on the cheek.
Have a good night, click the link and keep in touch.
