It has been a year and a half since my Mom passed away!
I miss her so much I can hardly stand it!
She was a few days away from turning 81...I know ...she lived a long life and was healthy up until about 4 years before that.
I had always told my parents I would never put them in a nursing home...I did...and I’m feeling awful about it.
My Mom passed away 4 months after placing her there..I watched her slowly die!!
How can I stop feeling so awful about putting her in a nursing home???
The day I took her there she turned to me and said,“I never thought YOU of all people would do this to me!”
That flash back is a common thing...

        • Sorry to hear that you feel so down about this - please be kind to yourself.  Do you have any siblings?

Can you remind yourself of the reasons your mom needed nursing care?  If someone needs care 24/7 to be safe and well, it is impossible for one person to cover that on their own.

        • Thanks for the it turns out I only have one sister.
She is mentally challenged and has lived with my husband and for the past 11 years.
I know I need to stop beating myself up over this.....
