I have been out of church since right before my knee surgery so I had been missing a lot of the goings on in our church community. But I got a phone call from one of the members the other night checking in on me to see how I’m coming along in my recovery. As she and I were chatting she mentioned to me about one of the young ladies in our church who is getting married in June, how she was intercepted by the pastor’s wife who is pregnant with their second child which is another girl which is due to be born in about 5 weeks, she has planned another baby shower and was passing out her shower invites, due to her and the brides events were on the same date. Now here is where I’m having an issue.

1st of all the pastor’s wife shouldn’t be having another baby shower in my opinion because their little girl is only 1 yr. old and she is carrying another little girl, so what would she need for this baby if the stuff she got from the last shower is still in her possession and only a year old? Then for you to Rambo a new bride to keep her from passing out her bridal shower invites because you both chose the same date for your events.

I think the pastor’s wife is in error and is being very greedy and selfish. I personally plan on going to the bridal show and not even think of buying a gift for the baby shower because for the 1st baby I spent $200.00 on her and never not once did I see her little girl in anything I gave her. One of the other members said knowing how she has an eBay account and is always shopping and selling stuff there, she may have sold a lot of the baby stuff on there and is now in need of more stuff. I am starting to believe that to be the case, well if so it’s her problem because she will NOT get a gift from me.

So what do you think am I being unfair in this matter?
