It's Monday Already????

I've made a little list for my Monday tasks, I have some Scentsy deliveries to make, a bank run, Post Office and begin work around 11:30. I read a short blog on here about college/kids and parents and I'm recovering from a huge  crying spell!!!

...and now I’m reading recipes to decide what to make for dinner. My family fends for themselves on Monday nights because I work late. But, I really try to help them out and plan something, get things ready, peel, chop and instruct them. They say everything is not quite right when they ‘make‘it. pooh.

I’ve mentioned that this is my new cookbook: Make It Fast, Cook It Slow: The Big Book of Everyday Slow Cooking

However, I just made some turkey chili with some leftover turkey taco meat. My family doesn’t seem to love it like I do. The chili smells amazing!  Oh, well...it will make great lunch food for me!

Consider yourself hugged, Mindy!  Do you have a college student?  I wish someone had told me when my oldest daughter went off to college (Carroll College...Helena MT, btw Mindy) that it takes about 3-4 months of grieving to let go of that child.  It is such a great and wonderful thing for a young adult to head off to college and I think sometimes we moms feel guilty for missing them so much and being emotional is how we deal with it.  So, if that is where you are, just have your weepy days and by the end of Christmas break, you will be feeling a lot better.

My hubby and boys arrived home from elk camp, so I am up to my elbows in laundry.  They all did laundry themselves last night, but there is still a lot to do.  It is 22 deg this am here in Idaho and sunny.  I hope to finish getting the garden put to bed this week and I have some businesss commitments this week to prepare for.  Some painting to do today.  We put in a new woodstove with soapstone on top and I decided to paint the ugly bricks behind the stove the same sunny yellow as the livingroom walls.  That is pretty much my day in a nutshell.

I am having a hard time focusing today. I have a lot of materials to review, work around the house, but I am determine to fit in sometime to take care of me, hair, nails, foot soak etc...

Sounds like everyone has a busy day ahead.
Mine is long and busy.. I have a ton of work to do here at the office and then a ton to do when I get home..Laundy, change my room around.
