In a large pot add about 1/2 gallon of water to boil.
Add in your water the following ingredients:
      1Tsp. of red pepper
      1Tsp. of onion powder
      1Tsp. of garlic powder
      1Tsp. of lemon pepper
1Tsp. of season salt or sea salt (I used sea salt)
also cut up a medium onion and add to water/seasonings.
1-2 cups of cut-up ham pieces in chunks how you like them and add as water is boiling.

If you are using fresh crowder peas please wash and soak them before you cook them, soak for about 15 minutes, add to your stock and let cook until they are tender to your liking and enjoy.
If you use the frozen ones in the box or bag make sure your ham is cooked because when you add those peas it doesn’t take long for them to cook, and enjoy.

****SIDE NOTE: If you like okra add it at the end when the peas are done and let them get tender from the juices of the peas.happy
