If you have teenagers or twenty something kids, what do your kids think you (at age 40+) are “too old” for?
So, I had to work with our teenage waitres today. Ugh!!! She comes back to the kitchen whispering, all scandalized because this woman was wearing a tank top and purple contact lenses “and she must be at least 40!!!”
Be proud of me my friends... I stifled the urge to slap the girl.
And let me say the woman in question was 50 if she was day and looked GREAT! It was a tasteful tanktop, she had her hair and makeup done, was in great physical shape.
I’m getting revenge. Wednesday is my day off and the teenager works again. I’m going out for breakfast in the teeniest tanktop I own. 
She’ll change her tune as she gets older. I remember thinking that 25 was over the hill...now I’m 46& I’m still climbing it! 
Only my oldest will say anything and then turn around and borrow my clothes!
LOL, there’s no way I can say I dress “age appropriate“. I wear what I want as long as I look good in it and feel comfortable. LOL, go for it Tulip!

I just asked my son what he thinks people our age are too old for and he said, “trying to understand what people his age are all about.“..I like that answer!!
BTW—he is 23!
Marya, my daughter is 23 too and she KNOWS she better not make any comments about people my age!
My daughter thinks short shorts, tank tops, singing along with the radio, night clubs, disco dancing, and having a cutsie Christmas card.
