At your workplace are all workers responsible to clean the staff kitchen and lounge room when it’s their turn?
A couple of years ago we had a kitchen duty list so everyone was responsible. Now there’s a co-worker who has chosen to do the loading/unloading of the dishwasher and a quick wipedown of the kitchen table everyday. We appreciate her desire to do it, but many have taken advantage of it and don’t clean up their own mess. Sad to say our lounge room is usually a huge mess - papers, crumbs, sticky table and chairs scattered.
At the previous place where I worked, there was a sign asking people to pick up after themselves and they did. At the place where I currently work, people are neat and clean up after themselves.
Before retiring from my place of employment, a sign was posted for a brief time and those who were untidy quickly became tidy. It was our responsibility to clean up after ourselves. It was a spotlessly clean place to behold!

I have told my staff to either clean up after themselves or I will get rid of everything including, fridge, micro and coffee pot!
It stays clean most of the time.
