    • Not really, but I can count on my next door neighbor when I’m in need of help such as to fix something for me.

Yesterday my mower wouldn’t start at all. When he got it going it was smoking a lot, but he fixed it and I was able to cut the grass.

    • I’m in the same boat Linda.  However, my kids are friends with the neighborhood kids.  There are a LOT of kids in our neighborhood.

My husband has a buddy in the neighborhood too.

    • Not here.  Back home I was friends with all my neighbors.  Maybe I will be someday here.  I am at least getting acquainted though.

    • Neighbors...  hmmm

The problem here is that our family has taken in youth over the years.

My neighbors probably don’t hate me as much as I think they do, but it feels as if we “burned the cats’ tail” so to speak.

You know the feeling that people just put up with you because they have to?  Well yea, that sums it up.

So, no, I don’t even know any of my neighbors names, let alone find a friendship with anyone.

I do want to add that I have some really good neighbors as far as I’m concerned though. I just don’t know anyone and we’ve been here for 15+ yrs.

Everyone seems to stick to their business, take care of things they need to take care of, and move along through the day.

Everyone waves the farmers wave. In case you‘re unfamiliar with the phrase, it means that while someone is driving by, they wave to acknowledge that they see you, they smile and wave and go about the day.

      It’s nice.
