Ladies as much as I love you all - Geraldine I repeat is never coming to the US on a cleaning tour ...

I pay for her holidays back to Ireland .....I adore her and would live on fresh air to retain her - plus she is more than my cleaning lady at my very worst when bed ridden she came everyday and bathed me - feed me and just made me laugh ....

    • All of it ........ thats why I have the wonderful Geraldine the chain smoking Irish lady who loves the smell of bleach and scrubs my apartment weekly ...... I adore her and she knows it .....

Friday afternoon I come home to a pristine place - calm restored and order everywhere .....

I’ve had her for 18 years.

    • I would have to say cleaning the kitchen.  It seems as soon as it’s clean someone comes in with dishes or makes a sandwich and leaves crumbs...it’s frustrating to clean it over and over.

    • I’m with UKgirl, I hate all of it.  I had two wonderful cleaning ladies for 5 years. It was great to have a clean house all the time.  But then our economic situtaion changed and I had to let them go.  Now I clean when it gets really bad (dusting that is), I’m pretty sure I’m allergic to the whole thing.

I hate going through all the paperwork that has collected in hideaway wicker chest, that I promised myself I would purge things in it when it was full. I do it, but hate it! Oh and the kitchen too.

I have to do all of that today...and I’m dreading it.

    • I hate everything about cleaning!!  There really isn’t much I do to get over the “dreading part” of it.  I usually start by turning up the tunes and start throwing away little piles of mail.  Once I can see the kitchen counter again, I can start cleaning, LOL..
One thing leads to another and before I know it I have a clean house.
Although the kids can come home from school and in an hour have everything turned upside down again!
      It is a vicious cycle!!

      =)

    • I hate housework period.  This was evident when I was younger--I was considered "lazy" by my siblings and my brother told me "I must plan on having a maid because I didn't like to clean up."  My retort:  "You best believe if I can afford one, I'll get one.  Who says I'm supposed to like to clean up."  As fate would have it, no cleaning lady (I got my kids though--not very good however) and I have become my worst nightmare--a cleanaholic. I don't like cleaning but I don't like dirt.  Go figure!!  I think my brother cursed me.  LOL. estatic

I do clean now everything except for kitchen and bathroom which I leave to my two lovely daughters—who seem to have taken after me—don’t like to clean up—but gratefully they still do it after my nagging.

ps- ever see that Kelly Ripa washing machine commercial? haha We should all be able to move that fast. lol lol

    • I hate it all and don’t do any of it until things get so bad we can’t stand it anymore.    I’ve got far better things to do with my time than clean house. What’s the point?  Someone’s going to come along behind me (probably me) and mess it up again.

If I can find a job that pays decent, I’ll be hiring a couple jr. high boys to do some cleaning for me.  They both want jobs and are open to the idea of doing dishes and things like that.
