Q & A

Ahh yes, Menopause! I had hot flashes, then shaking cold sweats that rivaled Malaria for several months.Things have eased off in this the 2nd year of the “change” although I still flush beet red and sweat buckets at the most inconvient times. Like in the middle of a meeting at work. Soy and herbs have helped some. My ONGYN says this could go on for years....UGH  My sex drive was non-existent at the worst of it but now returning. I dont have issues with feeling that I lost my womanhood, but really who can have sex in the middle of a major hot flash? I wonder if I’ll be too old to care about sex once this is over... How do you tell a date that you‘re in menopause?

    • I’m with you in the menopause battle, abd its no joke, however I haven’t lost my sex drive it seems mine has tsken a turn for the even better I always had a high sex drive and it seems even better now, but my hubby can’t handle it some days lol. But I work with him (hehe) telling a mate about your stage of menopause shouldn’t be too hard its a part of life for some women, get some pathlets from your doctor or download info. online and one day sit and talk to them about it hopefully they’ll understand what you‘re going through and work with you. Good luck.

    • Hello, really the menopausal transition can be challenging, especially the hot flashes, menstrual irregularities, loss of libido (sex drive), vaginal dryness, mood swings, fine lines and wrinkles, and thickening waist line.
In my Gynecology practice we work to smooth the transition naturally with bio-identical hormones and quality nutritional supplements and herbs. Women are living an average of 32.7 years after menopause and we want to make this the healthiest part of our lives! We should want an be able to enjoy our sex life too, especially since we don’t have to worry about birth control!
