    • Yes! In many ways, there are so many things that have been happening and it seems that just when you think that things can’t get any worse, boom!
A very thought provoking question. Thank you.

    • Apocalypse (Greek: Ἀποκάλυψις Apokálypsis; "lifting of the veil" or "revelation") is a term applied to the disclosure to certain privileged persons of something hidden from the majority of humankind. Today the term is often used to refer to the end of the world, which may be a shortening of the phrase apokalupsis eschaton which literally means "revelation at the end of the æon, or age". In the holy book of the Christians, the Bible, the term apocalypse refers to a revelation believed by Christians to be of their God's will.

In my opinion we are living in the last days and some of the seals that the book of Revelations speak about has already been broken, now which ones I’m not sure but I will say yes we are experiencing the apocalypse, but this is just the beginning there is much worse to come.

    • No, I don’t.  I think we have to consider a couple of factors to keep proper perspective.

First, we are bombared with news these days.  And the media loves to tell stories of ill-fated men and their sorrow rather than feel-good, every day events.  If we heard an equal amount of the goodness in our world every day, I dare say our perspective would be very different.

Secondly, recent news about the economy shows that many people are feeling the effects of poor decisions previously made.  That’s called consequences, not the apocolypse.  Consequences are inevitable, be they good or bad.  The economy may not be strong at the moment, but we are far from the dreary days of the depression.  We have not felt anything close to the suffering of those days, nor will we.

So no, I definately don’t feel we are facing gloom and doom.  In fact, I feel very blessed that the Lord is showing us what really matters in this life, and where we can find true happiness.

    • Thanks for the kind words, Annie!  Although I miss the mark some days, I try to keep a positive outlook most of the time.  No matter what my situation, I have always known people whose circumstances were much worse than mine.  That sort of thinking always gives me reason to be thankful.

    • Thought provoking indeed.

In regards to Revelations, it can freak a person out, without a doubt. Things listed in the book are certainly taking place. Everything from weather, to certain people being with certain people, to hard times. (I realize that is the simplified short version- I’m sort of in a hurry though)

Economic issues are certainly another eye opener. I’ve never experienced anything like this. I hate it. Broke, no car? WHAAAT? Who DOES this?? Never thought it’d be me, that’s for damn sure.

Anyway, do I think it’s an apocalypse? Not necessarily- but, it’s definitiely something NOTICABLE.

    • No, I don’t think it is.  My fav motto is

“It is always Darkest before the Dawn”

Things will get better it just will take some time.

And keeping  positive during the hard times.
