Weight...I’m one of those skinny bitches nobody likes so nobody asks!! tongue out

Now I just go with my real age, I’m 41, I still get the comments about looking younger, anywhere from 20’s to 30’s, right now I feel 65...weight, I’m w/ JJ on that. Except right now I’m still swollen from meds and I’m growing some fat around my gut...normally I’m around 125

    • Hi Deanna, I have never lied about my age, its funny though that when I tell my age people tell me I’m lying about it lol. I am so proud to be turning 50 next year and have two lovely adult daughters and a grand daughter. Now even though at the present this is the biggest I have ever been in my weight but guess what I’m healthy and comfortable in my skin and we BIG girls have it going on regardless as to what some may think or say about us. I love me and I look good at any weight its all about the mindset of the individual if you ask me. I love me and love who I am and where I am in all areas of my life, and I thank God each day for allowing me to see a new day as well as every year that I see a birthday.happy

    • I like Neicy’s answer...it is all a matter of how you feel, if a person feels like they need to shed some weight or even put on a few, then do it...and we should not be made to feel self-conscious or embarrassed about those subjects...age, unfortunately, we can’t do anything about and EVERYONE ages, so be it...I am 47 years old and I weigh 128 pounds...I work hard at it and am thankful for every day God gives me to do it..HUGS to all!estatic

    • I have no problem revealing my actual age, as most people think I look 5-10 years younger. Perhaps it’s because I don’t mind getting older. Some of my friends claim that mindset will change.
It’s funny, now that I think about it, few people ask about my weight. I’m an average build, so maybe that’s why???

    • I don’t mind telling my actual age.  I did try to be vague about it a couple weeks ago and someone else told for me, so I might have just as well said I was 42.

My weight?  I certainly don’t go around bringing up the subject.  But, if someone straight out asks me, I have no problem telling them I weigh 210.  I don’t like it, but I’m not ashamed of it either.  And honestly, nobody believes I weigh that much.

    • I hate it when people judge us for what we have on the outside, yes those of us who are thin( for whatever reason) & those who are not. I had someone who I thought was a friend say to me ‘I wish you’d tell me your secret for staying so thin!” I came so close to telling this “friend” it was b/c I didn’t stuff my face like she did every day & I was also anerexic and I had a problem with food.!!

    • Since OM brought up the subject of judgment, I’m back with two more cents tongue out

Age: We should all be proud to be our age....Over 40 and FABULOUS. We have earned every day we have lived and the future is our to behold as mature women.

Weight: Because our lives have become more and more sedentary and our food source more ample....most of us have become more ample also tongue out  A healthy diet is a goal we all need to strive for along with a proper balance of exercise. Thin does not automatically equal healthy. There are eating disorders and diseases which do not discriminate with weight.

Age and weight discrimination is a social problem that needs to be eradicated.

    • Thanks for all your answers ladies, I’m happily 46 and weigh 255 lbs, although people always say I look much younger and they never believe I weigh over 200!!  Must be because I’m 5“8” tall maybe?  I know I always think young, so maybe that’s my secret.  As far as my weight I am really trying to lose weight and have currently lost 18 lbs.  Society does still discriminate with women especially regarding our weight and our age, which still isn’t fair! When will it stop being an issue, that’s what I’d like to know..Still a man’s world as far as that goes, sorry to say. I love that new show “Dance your ass off!”  Finally some fat and fabulous people showing their stuff..

    • That is so true, the world thinks only thin women are beautiful BUT I say some of the most beautiful people I know are overweight. Some of the worlds most beautiful people have a very ugly soul. If your beautiful inside it don’t matter what the outside looks like. I have an Aunt who appears to be average in looks but she has the most beautiful Spirit, she is drop dead georgeous. So beauty is just an opinion because what really matters is character. Thanks ladies for all your sharing I found it very interesting.
